Employees are encouraged to report suspected fraud, waste, or abuse to the Office of Internal Audit.
If you believe violations of policies or standards have occurred, there are three different ways to make your concerns known:
Tell a supervisor or the leadership of the department or unit. The University of Oregon is committed to an environment where open, honest communications are the expectation, not the exception. Campus managers who receive notice of suspected or known fraud, waste, or abuse are required to report such matters to the Office of Internal Audit.
Contact the Office of Internal Audit directly. 541-346-6541 | internalaudit@uoregon.edu
Call 1-855-388-2710 or submit an online report through Fraud and Ethics Hotline. When employees do not feel comfortable discussing these matters directly with the Office of Internal Audit or campus management, confidential, and anonymous reports can be made through the fraud and ethics hotline, which is hosted by a third-party vendor, EthicsPoint. Through the hotline, you may also receive guidance related to policies and procedure, or provide positive suggestions and stories.
Employees who make a good faith report of suspected fraud, waste, or abuse are protected from retaliation in accordance with university policy and state law. Internal Audit follows up on all reports made, including those made through the hotline. Information is kept confidential to the extent possible, consistent with the need to conduct an adequate investigation and in accordance with applicable law.
